Trevor Krikst

Trevor Krikst is an elementary teacher at Teston Village Public School in Maple, Ontario.  He received his BEd from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. Trevor recently qualified as a Google Education Trainer. From early on in his career, Trevor recognized the value of integrating technology into classroom learning experience and the resulting increase in student engagement. As Technology Lead Teacher at his school, Trevor created multiple opportunities for the staff and students to explore and learn about various technologies and how to facilitate their integration into the classroom. Most recently he had the opportunity to share his developing expertise in Google Apps at the York Region District School Board’s Google Camp 2.0. Along with friend and colleague Wahid Khan, Trevor recently created and is a regular contributor to, an online hub exploring the vast potential in the nexus where technology and education converge. Wahid Khan

Wahid Khan is currently a Student Work Study Teacher / Researcher (SWST) and a Google Education Trainer. He has also served as Technology Lead Teacher for 4 years and has been a part of his school’s leadership team. As a Lead Teacher he created multiple opportunities for educators and students to learn more about the implementation of technology in the classroom. Wahid led workshops related to iPads in the classroom, how to best use your SMARTboards, and successful ways to incorporate Google Apps into the classroom. Most notably, he has presented at the multiple Google Camps where he inspired educators and administrators to maximize student success through the use of Google Apps. Moreover, Wahid has had the pleasure of participating in numerous pilot programs including the Desire2Learn platform and Google Apps. His participation in these pilot programs lead him to use the platform underpinning Google Apps and create a collaborative learning environment with his entire school staff. Now as a SWS Teacher, Wahid's role of documenting student learning and embarking on a collaborative inquiry journey with each host teacher has allowed him to re-evaluate how we use technology especially for the documentation of student work. Kim Pollishuke

Kim Pollishuke is a Digital Literacy Resource Teacher with the York Region District School Board. In addition to her role supporting teachers and students, she enjoys working as an instructional leader for York University teaching a number of Additional Qualification courses. She is also a contributing author of Creating the Dynamic Classroom: A Handbook for Teachers, Third Edition. Kim is a Google for Education Certified Innovator, Trainer and Educator. She leads workshops across Canada helping educators understand the power technology can have in giving a platform for student voice, connecting students to the wider global community and ultimately creating confident, innovative, digital citizens for the 21st century.
